Job summary

Voith Hydro is seeking a Project Manager in York, PA to lead complex electromechanical hydropower projects from inception to completion. You will oversee scheduling, costs, quality, and cross-functional teams across engineering, production, sourcing, and field service.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5+ years in hydropower or related industries, with strong leadership, communication, and proficiency in SAP, ECTR, and Primavera to assure on-time, on-budget project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with work history.
• Five+ years of hydropower experience or related industry.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and bills of materials.
• Strong scheduling and project cost control skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex projects for electromechanical equipment of hydropower plants.
• Ensure contract-compliant execution and project profitability across all phases.
• Coordinate Hydraulic Engineering, Production, Sourcing, Transportation, and Field Service.
• Develop customer relationships and support Sales/Account Managers.
• Drive change, manage risks, and oversee project-specific opportunities.
• Define budgets, monitor profitability, and control project schedules.
• Maintain all project documentation and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities –

• Leading of complex projects for the entire electromechanical equipment of hydropower plants in the field of Larfe Hydro Power Plants
• Accountable for the project and project profitability through all phases, Hydraulic Engineering,
• Basic Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Transportation, and Field Service (install, commission, and close out)
• Ensure contract-compliant execution (incl. review of bids and contracts) and compliance with specified project objectives (costs, deadlines, and quality) through functional leadership and control of the interdisciplinary project team
• Develop customer relationship and support Sales and Account Managers to expand business
• Drive change and claim management as well as project-specific opportunity and riskmanagement in the interface function (customers, subcontractors, suppliers)
• Responsible for project profitability from the project handover to completion. Includes definitionof project budgets, monitoring and forecasting of overall project profitability
• Lead the development, monitoring, and controlling of project schedule
• Take ownership of all project documentation
• Contribute to short and long-term objectives of the Company for process improvement and standardization

Required Skills/Abilities –

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Controls, Chemical, Civil) or an Associate’s degree in a related field with a corresponding work history
• Minimum of five years of experience in the hydropower or supporting industry is required
• Working knowledge of SAP, ECTR, & Primavera systems
• Working knowledge of heavy manufacturing process, casting, forging, welding, machining and assembly
• A good mechanical aptitude with the ability to read mechanical drawings and bills of materials
• Scheduling and Project Cost Control skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Strong leadership skills
