Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a Project Manager to own full lifecycle execution of assigned projects, from front-end coordination and order entry through final closeout.

The role is the primary point of accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and customer satisfaction, working cross-functionally with sales, engineering, document control, and expediting to ensure successful, profitable execution.

Qualifications

• Industry experience in project management, industrial equipment, EPC, or related field.
• PMP certification highly preferred; company supports path to certification.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
• Strong negotiation skills with pricing and contract terms experience.
• Excellent communication skills for internal leadership and external customers.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent projects.

Responsibilities

• Own project execution end-to-end: front-end coordination, kickoff, execution, and closeout.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers and customers.
• Serve as primary point of contact for internal and external customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Meet regularly with customers and internal stakeholders to manage expectations and relationships.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget; mitigate scope creep and cost overruns.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Document Control, and Expediting to keep projects on track.
• Review and manage contract terms and conditions, escalate as needed.
• Identify and process change orders and follow-on work to protect margin.
• Support the sales team on project bid packages and provide input during quoting.
• Ensure supplier accountability and on-time, on-spec delivery.
• Maintain accurate project records and reporting in line with accounting practices.
• Escalate issues promptly and drive resolution.
