Job summary

WW Clyde is seeking a Project Manager - Commercial Heavy Civil to provide overall administrative and technical direction for a large, complex project in Colorado. You will lead planning, staffing, and execution, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery of earthwork and utility installation.

You will supervise other PMs, coordinate with clients and A/E contacts, manage contracts finances, and ensure safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant, progressive construction project management experience on public, commercial, and/or residential infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management including documentation, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, dispute resolution, personnel management, and resource scheduling.
• Individual must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills essential; basic knowledge of the construction industry.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to work towards and reach deadlines.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Visualize, fulfill, and implement the vision and core values.
• Plan, organize and staff key field positions through regional department heads, subordinate project managers, construction managers, etc.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
• Initiate and maintain liaison with client and A/E contacts, to facilitate construction activities.
• Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
• Represent the company in project meetings, assist in labor negotiations/strategy meetings, etc.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect the company's interest and simultaneously maintain a good relationship with the Client.
• Supervise the work of Project Managers (I and II) when assigned.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.
• Must be able to work on project site all working days.
