Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead heavy civil projects across the U.S. with expertise in leach pad construction, reclamation, and large-scale earthworks.

You will drive project strategy, champion field execution, and ensure safe, on-budget delivery through strong leadership and technical acumen. This is a site-based role requiring travel to project locations nationwide; an accompanying vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience managing large civil, oil & gas, or pipeline projects with focus on leach pad construction, reclamation, and earthworks.
• Post-secondary education in Civil Construction, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Deep understanding of construction documentation, budgeting, and contract negotiation.
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams and maintain strong client/consultant/stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and mentorship to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring balanced workloads and professional growth across all levels.
• Lead by example in health, safety, and environmental practices. Implement and enforce the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to meet standards.
• Ensure construction activities—including leach pad installation, reclamation, and earth movement—adhere to approved plans, specs, and codes.
• Manage the full lifecycle of leach pad construction projects, including site prep, liner installation, drainage, QA/QC, and large-scale earthworks.
• Lead reclamation efforts post-construction, including topsoil replacement, erosion control, revegetation, and habitat restoration per permits and sustainability goals.
• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules to meet milestones and delivery dates.
• Monitor budgets, billing, forecasting, and reporting; oversee trade awards and construction execution within financial targets.

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead reclamation efforts post‑construction, including topsoil replacement, erosion control, revegetation, and habitat restoration, in alignment with environmental permits and sustainability goals
• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules to meet critical milestones and final delivery dates
• Monitor budgets, billing, forecasting, and reporting. Oversee trade awards and construction execution within financial targets
