Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead heavy civil projects across the United States, with deep expertise in leach pad construction, reclamation, and large-scale earthworks. You will drive project strategy, champion field execution, and ensure teams deliver world-class results safely, efficiently, and on budget.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience managing large civil, oil & gas, or pipeline projects with leach pad construction, reclamation and earthworks.
  • Strong understanding of construction documentation, budgeting and contract negotiation.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams and maintain relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills enabling clear explanation of technical information.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and mentorship to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring balanced workloads and professional growth.
  • Lead health, safety, and environmental practices including enforcing the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP).
  • Ensure all construction activities (leach pad installation, reclamation, earthworks) follow approved plans and codes.
  • Manage full lifecycle of leach pad construction projects: site preparation, liner installation, drainage, QA/QC, mass earthworks, grading and compaction.
  • Lead reclamation efforts post-construction: topsoil, erosion control, revegetation, habitat restoration in line with permits.
  • Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules to meet milestones and delivery dates.
  • Monitor budgets, forecasting and reporting; oversee trade awards and construction execution within budgets.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and mentorship to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring balanced workloads and fostering professional growth across all levels
  • Lead by example in health, safety, and environmental practices. Implement and enforce the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to meet company and regulatory standards
  • Ensure all construction activities—including leach pad installation, reclamation efforts, and earth movement operations—are executed according to approved plans, specifications, and applicable codes
  • Manage the full lifecycle of leach pad construction projects, including site preparation, liner installation, drainage systems, and QA/QC protocols. Oversee large‑scale earthworks such as mass excavation, grading, and compaction, ensuring geotechnical integrity and environmental compliance
  • Lead reclamation efforts post‑construction, including topsoil replacement, erosion control, revegetation, and habitat restoration, in alignment with environmental permits and sustainability goals
  • Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules to meet critical milestones and final delivery dates
  • Monitor budgets, billing, forecasting, and reporting. Oversee trade awards and construction execution within financial targets
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of experience managing large civil, oil & gas, or pipeline projects, with a strong focus on leach pad construction, reclamation, and earthworks
  • Post‑secondary education in Civil Construction, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • Deep understanding of construction documentation, budgeting, and contract negotiation
  • Proven ability to build and lead high‑performing teams, and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical and complex information clearly
Working Conditions
  • This is a site‑based role requiring travel to project locations across the U.S.
  • An accompanying vehicle will be provided
