Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Construction Project Manager for our New England capital projects team. You will report to the Project Executive and collaborate with clients, design teams, and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

You’ll manage planning, budgeting, design, review, and construction activities, acting as a single point of contact and ensuring smooth client communications. This role requires strong organization, multi-tasking, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years PM experience in facilities planning, design and construction.
• Healthcare, building infrastructure, or lab/research facility experience.
• Experience in capital project management.
• Strong knowledge of pre-design, contract management, and project delivery methods.

Responsibilities

Our Program Management group is seeking a Construction Project Manager to be part of our team for our capital projects business line in the New England region. Reporting to the Project Executive you’ll be working alongside other Project Managers, client staff, design teams, specialty consultants and contractors.

In this role you’ll manage a variety of capital improvement projects for our client utilizing your project management experience. The work includes acting as a single point of contact for projects throughout the planning, budgeting, design, review, construction and inspection processes; monitoring project costs ensuring projects meet budget constraints; updating and ensuring the project stays on schedule and that project progress is regularly briefed with the client; and ensuring that the project contractors complete the scope of the project within budget, specified timeline and to established specifications.

This opportunity will require high level organization, communication, and presentations skills to ensure client staff affected by projects are informed and processes are established; to coordinate and communicate design development, plan reviews, permitting, changes in design or construction; to facilitate regular coordination meetings with the client, consultants, and contractors. Your keen ability to multi-task, communicate effectively and tackle projectchallenges will allow you to thrive in our fast-paced environment. You’ll bring your expertise to solve complex problems, ensuring the success of our projects.

Here’s what you’ll need

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager focused on facilities planning, design and construction
• U.S. healthcare, building infrastructure, lab/research facility construction experience
• Experience in capital project management
• Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, contract management, project delivery methods, building systems/components and technology, team building, and client relationship building
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Procore experience desired
• Willing and able to work full-time at the client's locations in New England (CT/RI/MA/NY)

The base salary range for this position is $120,000.00 to $160,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
