Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Architecture Project Manager in Boston to lead multidisciplinary design teams through the full project lifecycle and deliver sustainable, community-focused spaces.

You will work within HDR’s Architecture practice to advance resilience and well-being in projects worldwide. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Architecture, 7+ years of related experience, and at least 2 years in project management, plus a Registered Architect credential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
  • 7 years related experience.
  • Minimum 2 years project management experience.
  • Registered Architect.
  • Ability to lead a project team.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Active participation in HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate work of single or multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage all aspects of complex small to medium projects or routine large projects.
  • Produce and coordinate several small to medium projects concurrently.
  • Establish and maintain client relations, and participate in meetings.
  • Coordinate staffing and workload through the project lifecycle and ensure delivery on schedule.
  • Monitor financial aspects of projects and adjust work effort to meet budget and schedule parameters.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Operations and Business leadership for periodic project reviews.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate work of single or multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle (from development and initiation to close-out).
  • Manage all aspects of complex small to medium projects or routine large projects.
  • Produce and coordinate several small to medium projects concurrently.
  • Establish and maintain client relations, and participate in marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
  • Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in collaboration with other staff and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate staffing and workload through the project lifecycle and ensure delivery on schedule.
  • Monitor financial aspects of projects and adjust work effort to meet budget and schedule parameters.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Operations and Business leadership for periodic project reviews.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED.
  • Experience with complex healthcare-related projects (Academic Medical Centers, Community Hospitals and/or Ambulatory settings).
  • PMP certification.
  • Preference given to local candidates.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
  • 7 years related experience.
  • Minimum 2 years project management experience.
  • Registered Architect.
  • Ability to lead a project team.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Good planning and mentoring skills.
  • Active participation in HDR’s employee-owned culture.
