We are looking for a PM with experience in hazardous material storage permitting and applicable codes. We have many out of state projects and travel will be required.

Compenation Range:

Team Overview

We are a design-forward architecture firm in our 15th year, scaling our practice from a single office in Newport Beach into a multi-office platform across the US. Our architectural focus is in industrial ground up development and hazardous material storage. We’re hiring a Project Manager who thrives at problem solving, collaborative teamwork and working in a fast-paced environment.

Team Culture

Our culture is built on accountability and teamwork—we set clear expectations, own our commitments, and follow through for each other and our clients. We work with a strong sense of camaraderie and shared purpose: we communicate directly, step in when someone needs help, and celebrate wins together. We take pride in delivering excellent work, and when deadlines or client needs spike, we show up for one another—while also focusing on strong planning, clear priorities, and continual process improvements so the pace stays healthy and sustainable as we grow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all project information, including scheduling, design decisions, meeting direction from clients, consultant management, and drawing coordination.
  • Lead, manage, and take accountability for project success.
  • Ensure overall project communication between all stakeholders.
  • Conduct job site visits to track progress and review project issues as needed.
  • Participate in city meetings to facilitate entitlement and CD permitting processes.
  • Accurately model and document full projects in Revit (some minor CAD), including site, building, and tenant improvements.
  • Coordinate drawings with code compliance, consultant inputs, and design requirements.
  • Oversee and manage Job Captains and Project Assistants to ensure smooth workflow on larger projects.
  • Review drawings for accuracy and completeness, providing detailed comments and markups for Job Captains and Project Assistants.
  • Manage meeting minutes and drawing markups for conference calls.
  • Attend and lead coordination and client meetings to drive project progress.
  • Define and oversee project specifications to meet design and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring projects stay ahead of schedule.
  • Manage permitting processes and ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Oversee construction administration, resolving on-site challenges and ensuring adherence to design intent.
  • Maintain quality control of drawings, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring projects stay within budget constraints.
  • Facilitate consultant coordination, ensuring all disciplines are aligned.
  • Lead design coordination, integrating client vision, technical requirements, and consultant inputs.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to address project challenges efficiently and effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Highly motivated and extremely detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently while also excelling in team collaboration and leadership.
  • Proficiency in Revit for accurate modeling and documentation.
  • Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and construction documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholder expectations efficiently.
  • Strong leadership and accountability mindset with a strategic approach to project execution.
  • Hazardous Material Permitting and coordination.
  • Regular travel across the US.
  • Licensed Architect, PE, or FPE preferred.
  • Project Management and Construction Management certifications encouraged.
Benefits Include:
