Position: Project Manager - Ground-Up High-Rise Construction
Compensation: $130,000 - $170,000 + bonus
Location: New York, NY (Onsite)
My client is a prominent New York City General Contractor and Developer with an extensive track record delivering skyline-defining residential and mixed-use high-rise towers. They are seeking a Project Manager with proven experience overseeing ground-up projects in New York City valued at $100M+. This individual will be responsible for managing project execution from preconstruction through closeout, collaborating with senior leadership and supporting high-performing project teams in a fast-paced market.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with ownership, design teams, consultants, subcontractors, and internal staff to align on project goals.
- Ensure project schedule, budget, safety, and quality objectives are met.
- Support and oversee superintendents, assistant project managers, and field staff.
- Participate in preconstruction activities including contract review, scopes of work, budgeting, and schedule development.
- Maintain and update project schedules using MS Project and Procore.
- Process and track change orders, RFIs, submittals, and related documentation.
- Lead or contribute to weekly progress meetings with stakeholders, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Manage procurement and ensure timely delivery of critical materials and systems.
- Provide regular project reporting to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience managing ground-up high-rise projects in New York City.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Procore, MS Project, and MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of NYC construction regulations, permitting, and building codes.
- Proven track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
