Job summary

ARCO is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to join our Kansas City, Missouri team. The role centers on managing federal government services projects, including estimating, scheduling, design coordination and cost reporting.

You will collaborate with government representatives and the design team to develop concepts, review scope with owners, and drive value engineering while leading subcontractor buyouts and on-site meetings. ARCO offers strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture or related field with at least a 3.0 GPA.
• Minimum five years of direct federal construction or construction management experience.
• Experience with design-build and/or design-bid-build projects; IDIQ, task-order, MATOC, SATOC, MACC or similar contracts preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project; experience with Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, USACE RMS/QCS, or NAVFAC eCMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage federal projects including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting and safety.
• Ensure accurate and complete project estimates and develop preliminary concept drawings with the design team.
• Participate in owner meetings to review scope, reduce costs, and provide value engineering ideas.
• Oversee the buyout process and subcontractor selection; conduct bi-weekly on-site meetings.
• Organize, plan and manage multiple activities to achieve project goals and meet/exceed client expectations.

A Day in the Life:

• Responsible for managerial and administrative aspects of federal projects related to government services. Including, estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation
• Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate
• Work closely with government representatives and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings
• Participate in the proposal meeting with the owner to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, and provide value engineering ideas
• Oversee the buyout process and the selection of subcontractors
• Conduct bi-weekly job site meetings on site
• Make sound decisions under tight deadlines
• Organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results
• Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes
• Make necessary changes, use customer input to make improvements, and meet/exceed internal and external client expectation
• Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and other associates, while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations

Necessary Qualifications:

• BS in Construction, Engineering, Architecture or related field; with a minimum of 3.0 GPA
• At least five years of direct federal construction or construction management experience
• Experience with design-build and/or design-bid-build projects; IDIQ, task-order, MATOC, SATOC, MACC, or similar contract vehicles preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project; experience with Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, USACE RMS/QCS, or NAVFAC eCMS preferred.
