Job summary

ARCO National Construction Company seeks a highly motivated Project Manager for our Kansas City, Missouri team. You will handle managerial and administrative duties on projects for government services, including estimating, scheduling, safety, and cost reporting, while coordinating with design teams and government representatives.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction, Engineering, Architecture or related field with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• 3–5 years' of design/build construction experience with a general contractor preferred.
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managerial and administrative aspects of a project related to government services, including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation.
• Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate.
• Work closely with government representatives and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings.
• Participate in the proposal meeting with the owner to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, and provide value engineering ideas.
• Oversee the buyout process and the selection of subcontractors.
• Conduct bi-weekly job site meetings on site.
• Make sound decisions under tight deadlines.
• Organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.
• Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes.
• Make necessary changes, use customer input to make improvements, and meet/exceed internal and external client expectation.
• Act with integrity that supports the company and its values while meeting customer requirements.

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

• BS in Construction, Engineering, Architecture or related field; with a minimum of 3.0 GPA

• Cold storage experience preferred
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project
