Project Manager – Global Transaction & Payment Services
This role is for a Project Manager – Global Transaction & Payment Services based in New York, NY. Base pay range is $60.00/hr - $70.00/hr. This range is provided by Phyton Talent Advisors. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management of local/global projects in conjunction with global coordinators and subject matter experts.
- Draft and maintain project tracking materials such as project plans, task lists, and deliverables expected from stakeholders.
- Work with various experts across the business, IT, and Support functions to collect and maintain tasks needed to complete initiatives.
- Incorporate requirements, limitations, and constraints from various parties into project documentation.
- Collect and draft detailed Business Requirements documenting the needs and requirements of GTPS to implement new business initiatives.
- Coordinate UAT testing to confirm product meets specifications and oversee test case creation for user testing.
- Provide coordination for post-production validation.
- Implement and run appropriate governance structures (e.g., Opco’s, Steerco’s) as well as coordinate meetings required for a given project/change such as workshops and checkpoints.
- Understand business priorities of projects and assess business needs using a structured requirements process to prioritize immediate needs and recommend options, risks, and cost-benefit considerations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on project management and/or business analysis experience within financial services, payments, or transaction banking.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for both business and technical audiences.
- Ability to work closely with technology teams, explaining regulatory and business needs to system developers and technicians.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a complex organization, across multiple cultures, geographies, and disciplines.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Solid understanding of payment flows, cash management, or trade finance products and processes.
- Experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensuring successful production rollouts.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to identify risks, propose solutions, and escalate when necessary.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent).
- Ability to work independently while driving collaboration across business lines, IT, and support functions.
