Job summary

A Day in the Life

You will work on a variety of complex project sites throughout the US with primary focus in Nashville. The compensation range for this role is $100,000 to $125,000, in addition to an annual bonus commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. To thrive in this role, you'll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities
  • Perform site visits, data collection or assignments.
  • Prepare reports, tables, maps, drawings, and visual aids to evaluate, plan and obtain regulatory approval on project recommendations.
  • Implement technical requirements to complete client projects by directing field staff to sample, test and collect data and/or document site activities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain long‑term working relationships with clients.
  • Oversee proposals and business development activities.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff members and work in collaborative team situations to solve problems and advance projects.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards and project goals.
  • Keep up‑to‑date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental-Related Science (Geology) from an accredited college or university or other related science field.
  • 5+ years of professional consulting experience, or combination of consulting and other relevant professional environmental experience.
  • Possess or plan to possess a Professional Geologist (PG) license.
  • Experience with GIS is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license, ability to travel and obtain security clearance at federal installations.
  • This position can be physically demanding and will require work in various working environments/conditions which requires that an individual be physically capable of canvassing large project areas by foot on various terrain and potentially in inclement weather.
  • Work environment will vary greatly depending on nature of assigned tasks.
  • Local travel up to 30%.
