Job summary

Onterris, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager Geologist to lead environmental consulting projects in Nashville, TN. The role requires a geology-related degree, 5+ years of experience, and a Professional Geologist license or pursuit thereof; GIS knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental-related science (Geology) from an accredited college or university.
  • 5+ years of professional consulting experience, or combination of consulting and other relevant environmental experience.
  • Possess or plan to possess a Professional Geologist (PG) license.
  • Experience with GIS is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to travel up to 30%.

A movement for better thinking, smarter solutions and lasting impact.Together, we will advance our way of life and protect the integrity of our environment every step of the way.**A Day in the Life**You will work on a variety of complex project sites throughout the US with primary focus in Nashville.The compensation range for this role is **$100,000 to $125,000**, in addition to an annual bonus commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities: * Perform site visits, data collection or assignments.* Prepare reports, tables, maps, drawings, and visual aids to evaluate, plan and obtain regulatory approval on project recommendations.* Implement technical requirements to complete client projects by directing field staff to sample, test and collect data and/or document site activities.* Ability to establish and maintain long-term working relationships with clients.* Oversee proposals and business development activities.* Lead and mentor junior staff members and work in collaborative team situations to solve problems and advance projects.* Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards and project goals.* Keep up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.* Perform other duties as assigned**Your Expertise and Skills**To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.* Bachelor’s degree in environmental-Related Science (Geology) from an accredited college or university or other related science field.* 5+ years of professional consulting experience, or combination of consulting and other relevant professional environmental experience.* Possess or plan to possess a Professional Geologist (PG) license* Experience with GIS is a plus.* Valid driver’s license, ability to travel and obtain security clearance at federal installations.* This position can be physically demanding and will require work in various working environments/conditions which requires that an individual be physically capable of canvassing large project areas by foot on various terrain and potentially in inclement weather* Work environment will vary greatly depending on nature of assigned tasks* Local travel up to 30%We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
