Job summary

Onterris, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager Geologist to lead environmental consulting projects in Nashville, TN. You will manage field teams, coordinate data collection, and deliver reports and regulatory documentation to clients. Travel up to 30% and mentor junior staff in a collaborative environment.

The role requires a geology-related degree, 5+ years of experience, and a Professional Geologist license or pursuit thereof; GIS knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental-related science (Geology) from an accredited college or university.
• 5+ years of professional consulting experience, or combination of consulting and other relevant environmental experience.
• Possess or plan to possess a Professional Geologist (PG) license.
• Experience with GIS is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to travel up to 30%.

To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities: * Perform site visits, data collection or assignments.* Prepare reports, tables, maps, drawings, and visual aids to evaluate, plan and obtain regulatory approval on project recommendations.* Implement technical requirements to complete client projects by directing field staff to sample, test and collect data and/or document site activities.* Ability to establish and maintain long-term working relationships with clients.* Oversee proposals and business development activities.* Lead and mentor junior staff members and work in collaborative team situations to solve problems and advance projects.* Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards and project goals.* Keep up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.* Perform other duties as assigned**Your Expertise and Skills**To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.* Bachelor’s degree in environmental-Related Science (Geology) from an accredited college or university or other related science field.* 5+ years of professional consulting experience, or combination of consulting and other relevant professional environmental experience.* Possess or plan to possess a Professional Geologist (PG) license* Experience with GIS is a plus.* Valid driver’s license, ability to travel and obtain security clearance at federal installations.* This position can be physically demanding and will require work in various working environments/conditions which requires that an individual be physically capable of canvassing large project areas by foot on various terrain and potentially in inclement weather* Work environment will vary greatly depending on nature of assigned tasks* Local travel up to 30%We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
