Job Description

STMCO Construction is a commercial general contractor that specializes in tenant improvement, retail, and restaurant projects.

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about building, experienced in managing construction projects from start to finish, and capable of overseeing 4-6 tenant improvement projects simultaneously. We value team players with a strong work ethic and a proactive, hustler mentality. Responsibilities also include sales and maintaining a book of business. You will oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution, working closely with field teams, superintendents, and foremen to ensure projects meet deadlines. Estimating skills are a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities:

• Manage project budgets and changes to ensure profitability
• Utilize PROCORE to keep projects on track
• Manage project schedules and adapt as necessary
• Conduct project buyouts to ensure profitability
• Oversee all aspects of construction from planning to execution
• Allocate resources effectively
• Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
• Obtain permits and licenses from relevant authorities
• Coordinate with inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, officials, and clients
• Collaborate with estimators, superintendents, owners, and teams to ensure timely and within-budget project completion
• Troubleshoot and make quick decisions to keep projects moving
• Negotiate with contractors for reasonable costs
• Maintain high standards of workmanship according to plans and specifications
• Report directly to the owner

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in construction management
• Proficiency with construction management software, especially PROCORE and Microsoft Planner
• Understanding of tenant improvement and commercial projects
• Excellent communication, sales, and negotiation skills
• Strong leadership and team collaboration skills
