Job summary

Providence is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex clinical informatics initiatives onsite in a healthcare setting. The role covers physician practice implementations, quality improvement, and strategic IT objectives with accountability to the Executive Sponsor.

The successful candidate will manage end-to-end projects, work with cross-functional teams, and communicate progress to senior stakeholders. A PMP or Six Sigma exposure is preferred; on-site duties apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years in information tech, PM, healthcare admin or clinical field.
• Education with PM methodology based on PM principles.
• CAP, Workout and Lean training required within first year on the job.
• Experience with PM methodologies and software.
• Experience managing projects with multiple teams and product/quality lifecycles.
• Experience making formal and informal presentations to senior management.
• Experience developing/ modifying project process standards and objectives.

The Project Manager is accountable for one or more large, diverse and complex projects in the areas of clinical informatics; physician practice implementations; quality improvement; strategic objectives and goals; information technology projects. Manages all aspects of projects with direct accountability to the Executive Sponsor.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Plus 3 years experience in information technologies, project management, healthcare administration or clinical field. Or equivalent education/experience
• Coursework/Training: Education with Project Management methodology based on Project Management principles.
• Coursework/Training: CAP, Workout and Lean education training required as soon as available or within the first year on the job.
• Experience with Project Management methodology based on Project Management principles.
• Experience managing projects with multiple project teams, product development life-cycle, or quality life-cycle.
• Experience with PM methodologies and software.
• Experience making formal and informal presentations to senior and executive management and key stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience developing and modifying process standards and objectives to a project as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Upon hire: Project Management Professional (PMP) - Project Management Institute
• Experience working with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or LEAN.
