Job summary

Providence is seeking a Project Manager to oversee large, complex projects in clinical informatics and healthcare IT. This full-time, onsite role reports to an Executive Sponsor and requires coordinating multiple teams across the project life cycle.

The position emphasizes process improvement, Lean and Six Sigma exposure, and delivering value to patients and facilities. Strong communication with senior leaders and detailed project governance are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 3 years in information technologies, project management, healthcare administration or clinical field.
• Education with Project Management methodology based on PM principles.
• CAP, Workout and Lean education training required as soon as available or within first year on the job.
• Experience with PM methodologies and software.
• Experience presenting to senior/executive management and stakeholders.
• Experience modifying process standards to a project.

The Project Manager is accountable for one or more large, diverse and complex projects in the areas of clinical informatics; physician practice implementations; quality improvement; strategic objectives and goals; information technology projects. Manages all aspects of projects with direct accountability to the Executive Sponsor.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Plus 3 years experience in information technologies, project management, healthcare administration or clinical field. Or equivalent education/experience
• Coursework/Training: Education with Project Management methodology based on Project Management principles.
• Coursework/Training: CAP, Workout and Lean education training required as soon as available or within the first year on the job.
• Experience with Project Management methodology based on Project Management principles.
• Experience managing projects with multiple project teams, product development life-cycle, or quality life-cycle.
• Experience with PM methodologies and software.
• Experience making formal and informal presentations to senior and executive management and key stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience developing and modifying process standards and objectives to a project as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Upon hire: Project Management Professional (PMP) - Project Management Institute
• Experience working with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or LEAN.
