Job summary

Chart Industries, Inc. is hiring a Buyer to manage procurement for materials, equipment, and services supporting production and projects at our New Prague site. You’ll work with internal stakeholders and suppliers to control costs and ensure timely deliveries, enabling uninterrupted operations.

You’ll interface with finance, legal, and field teams, driving continuous improvement across the supply chain and handling complex purchasing challenges with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher, or 8 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 3 years project management experience in a construction setting.
• Ability to handle multiple projects with rapid prioritization and minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to keep progress on schedule and on budget.
• Lead project team and technical disciplines through schedule and deliverables.
• Track project costs daily and reconcile at project end.
• Coordinate with finance on accounts payable, receivable, and invoicing.
• Coordinate with legal regarding contract terms and conditions.
• Review and interpret customer specifications and contract requirements.
• Manage customer and internal documentation.
• Coordinate material and purchasing requirements and approve vendor selections.
• Serve as main customer and internal interface for projects.
• Coordinate Field Service Technicians’ deployment to jobsites and meet customer needs.

The Buyer is responsible for managing the procurement process to ensure the timely acquisition of materials, equipment, and services required to support business operations. This position plays a critical role in maintaining supplier relationships, controlling costs, supporting inventory requirements, and ensuring uninterrupted production. The Buyer works with minimal supervision, handles complex purchasing challenges, and serves as a key resource to internal stakeholders while driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supply chain.

What Will You Do?

• Main customer & internal interface point for projects

Your Experience Should Be...

• Associates degree or higher or 8 years of relevant experience
• Minimum 3 years project management experience, in a construction environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects with rapid prioritization
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
