Job summary

Intuitive Machines is seeking a Project Manager for the JETS II contract at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. The role coordinates multiple programs, aligns schedules, and partners with cross-functional teams to meet NASA project objectives.

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5–10 years of related experience, with strong communication, budgeting, and risk management skills. Proficiency with MS Office, Smartsheet, Jira, and MS Project is preferred.

Our long-term partnership with NASA has created an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager, on the JETS II contract at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

• Manages multiple projects funded from different programs.
• Manages fluctuating priorities in different departments.
• Prepares resource estimates, loading, and phasing labor plans.
• Creates and maintains detailed master schedules and tracks milestone progress and completion.
• Assimilates timelines with knowledge of internal and external dependencies.
• Serves as a focal point for stakeholder communication.
• Tracks procurements with the goal of minimizing variances.
• Prepares summary dashboards for program customers.
• Identifies, analyzes, mitigates, and documents project risks.
• Engages in program meetings.
• Prepares and presents monthly Technical, Cost, Schedule, and Risk (TCSR) reviews.
• Prepares Project Management Plan, Configuration Management Plan, and formal proposals.
• Tracks and monitors service providers (i.e. software, IT infrastructure) to ensure requirements are met.
• Prepares financial estimates such as: cost of new projects, monthly projections.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requisition Qualifications

• Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering and normally possess 5- 10 years of related experience. License and certification may be required.
• BS degree in Science or Engineering from an accredited school and at least five (5) years of project management experience.
• This role requires a self-directed, proactive individual with prior experience leading with minimal oversight.
• Ability to work independently and autonomously and track tasks and issues to completion.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and will be expected to effectively interact with customers and management at all levels.
• Prior experience with Government and internal company financial reporting, including budgeting, forecasting and cost estimating.
• Prior experience managing and leading a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings.
• Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and schedules.
• Soft-skills to manage a variety of personnel with different personalities and strengths.

Preferred

• Familiar with Johnson Space Center (JSC) organizations, processes, and procedures.
• Knowledge of spacecraft systems.
• Previous experience with NASA Project Management processes under NPR 7120.5 or EA-023.
• Previous experience with project scheduling.
• Familiarity with Smartsheet, Jira, MS Project, or other PM software.
