Job summary

Texas Commercial Glazing, part of the IBP family, seeks a Project Manager/Estimator to lead storefront and heavy glass projects. You will review plans, prepare estimates, manage schedules, and coordinate vendors and crews in a fast-paced office setting with occasional site visits.

The role emphasizes bid quality, budget control, and strong communication with clients and partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in PM and/or estimating in storefront and heavy glass.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specs and bid documents; prepare estimates and proposals for storefront and heavy glass projects.
• Coordinate schedules, materials, subcontractors, and field crews.
• Monitor project budgets, costs and timelines.
• Communicate with customers, general contractors, architects, and suppliers.
• Process change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
• Resolve project challenges while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Salary: $40,000 - $75,000 per year (based on experience)

Project Manager / Estimator with experience in commercial storefront and heavy glass projects.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating

• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Prepare accurate estimates and proposals for storefront and heavy glass projects.
• Complete quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis.
• Obtain vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Submit competitive and profitable bids.

Project Management

• Manage awarded projects from contract execution through closeout.
• Coordinate schedules, materials, subcontractors, and field crews.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and timelines.
• Communicate with customers, general contractors, architects, and suppliers.
• Process change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
• Resolve project challenges while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in project management and/or estimating within the storefront and heavy glass industry.
• Strong understanding of commercial glazing systems, storefronts, entrances, and heavy glass installations.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing commercial glazing projects from start to finish.
• Knowledge of project scheduling and cost tracking.
• Familiarity with industry estimating software.

Physical Demands

This position primarily works in an office environment with occasional visits to construction sites. The employee may be required to sit, stand, walk, use a computer, communicate with customers and team members, and occasionally lift or carry items up to 20 pounds.
