Job summary

The State Group is seeking a Project Manager/Estimator to oversee quotations and field estimates for industrial projects. Based in Cleveland, OH, this role focuses on managing admin work and direct labor while maintaining strong client and contractor relationships.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years as a Project Manager in industrial construction.
  • Two-year degree or higher in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Industrial electrical experience.
  • Experience with estimating software and ERP purchasing.
  • OSHA Construction Training.
  • MS Office skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Scheduling experience is a plus.
  • Time management and multi-tasking in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

We are seeking a Project Manager/Estimator for Herbst Electric, a subsidiary of The State Group Family of Companies, based in Cleveland, Ohio.

Herbst Electric Company, established over 65 years ago, provides timely solutions and electrical engineering services to support the electrical distribution and control equipment in industrial facilities. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, Herbst specializes in industrial services, including power distribution, control systems, automation, and ongoing maintenance.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Project Manager/Estimator, you will recognize, handle, and process incoming requests for quotations, information, etc.

Spend the majority of your time preparing estimates and working in the field.

Manage administrative and direct labor work while managing projects.

Interface with clients and contractors during pre- and post-tender applications to develop effective business relationships.

Ensure quality construction standards are followed.

Monitor and lead compliance with building and safety regulations.

Manage and mitigate risks.

Comply with State Group's standards and operating procedures.

WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM

3+ years of experience as a Project Manager in the industrial construction industry or a relevant internship preferred.

Prefer a two-year degree or higher in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Industrial electrical experience.

Experience with estimating software and ERP purchasing.

OSHA Construction Training.

Intermediate MS Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Scheduling experience is a plus.

Time management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks effectively, and a proven track record of success in a busy, deadline-oriented environment.

Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
