Job summary

VersaTech Automation Services, LLC in New Orleans, LA is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical Project Manager to lead I&E construction projects in the Oil & Gas and industrial sectors. You will oversee proposals, budgets, schedules, and quality control from proposal through final completion, ensuring safety and profitability.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, strong reading of electrical drawings and diagrams, proficient in Microsoft Office and project management

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience managing Instrumentation & Electrical construction projects within Oil & Gas or Industrial markets.
• Strong knowledge of I&E construction methods, commissioning, maintenance, and project execution.
• Experience preparing estimates and technical proposals.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, instrumentation diagrams, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong financial understanding including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and change order management.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers, field personnel, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30%, primarily throughout Louisiana and Texas.

Responsibilities

• Administer change orders and contract modifications.
• Coordinate staffing requirements with Operations and Field Services leadership

• Conduct periodic job site visits to monitor safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction
• Participate in customer meetings and support business development to grow accounts
• Champion VersaTech's safety culture through field audits and continuous improvement initiatives

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to lead Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) construction projects while helping expand our growing service business.

What You'll Do

As a Project Manager, you'll oversee projects from proposal through final completion, ensuring safe execution, satisfied customers, and profitable results.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage I&E construction projects ranging from $10,000 to over $10 million
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, inspectors, subcontractors, and field personnel
• Prepare competitive estimates and technical proposals using drawings, specifications, labor estimates, and industry best practices
• Manage project budgets, schedules, forecasting, invoicing, and profitability
• Administer change orders and contract modifications
• Coordinate staffing requirements with Operations and Field Services leadership
• Ensure project documentation, testing reports, turnover packages, and quality records are completed accurately and on time
• Conduct periodic job site visits to monitor safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction
• Participate in customer meetings and support business development activities to grow existing and new accounts
• Champion VersaTech's strong safety culture through field audits, safety meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives
