Qualifications

• 1+ year of construction estimating experience
• 1+ year of commercial construction project management experience
• Experience with submittals, shop drawings, and project scheduling
• Experience communicating with general contractors and vendors
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
• Strong understanding of takeoffs, pricing, and construction project workflows
• Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Dropbox
• Associate degree or higher

Responsibilities

• Review bid documents, specifications, architectural drawings, and addenda
• Prepare detailed takeoffs at every design stage for negotiated and competitive bids
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and manufacturer pricing to build competitive bids
• Track bid deadlines and ensure bid forms and documents are submitted on time
• Manage awarded projects from handoff through closeout
• Serve as the primary contact for general contractors, vendors, and internal team members
• Review contracts and confirm scope against the estimate and project requirements
• Coordinate submittals, shop drawings, and material procurement
• Track schedules, lead times, and milestones to keep deliveries on time
• Monitor project costs, manage change orders, and protect profitability
• Resolve issues proactively and keep stakeholders informed
• Complete accurate project documentation, including closeout materials

Trueline is seeking a Project Manager / Estimator to join its team in Council Bluffs, IA, in the Omaha metro. In this dual role, you’ll own projects from the first bid through closeout, estimating and then managing Division 10 specialty packages on commercial construction projects.

The company has supplied specialties on more than 25,000 projects, works with leading manufacturers across the country, and is growing. The right person is detail-driven, organized, and enjoys the variety of winning work and seeing it through to delivery.

What You’ll Do as the Project Manager / Estimator:

• Review bid documents, specifications, architectural drawings, and addenda
• Prepare detailed takeoffs at every stage of design for negotiated and competitive bids
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and manufacturer pricing to build competitive, complete bids
• Track bid deadlines and make sure all bid forms and documents are submitted on time
• Manage awarded projects from handoff through closeout
• Serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors, vendors, and internal team members

Must-Haves as the Project Manager / Estimator:

• 1+ year of construction estimating experience
• 1+ year of commercial construction project management experience
• Experience with submittals, shop drawings, and project scheduling
• Experience communicating with general contractors and vendors
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
• Strong understanding of takeoffs, pricing, and construction project workflows
• Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Dropbox
• Associate degree or higher
• Ability to work in person in Council Bluffs, IA

Nice-to-Haves as the Project Manager / Estimator:

• Division 10 specialties experience, such as toilet partitions and accessories, lockers, fire extinguisher cabinets, or wall protection
• Experience with other specialty or architectural product scopes, such as doors, frames, and hardware
• Experience with ConstructConnect and STACK takeoff and estimating software
• Experience at a specialty subcontractor, distributor, or general contractor
• Procurement and lead-time management experience

This Role Offers:

• Base salary of $60,000-$90,000, depending on experience
