Job summary

COA Network Inc is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial electrical projects in San Jose, CA. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets and schedules, and serve as the main client contact to ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, a degree in electrical/construct ion management, and proficiency with Procore. PMP is a plus, and driving to sites may be required. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing commercial electrical projects.
• Experience with electrical systems, commercial construction practices, and project management software is a plus.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar project management certification preferred, but not required.
• Electrical trade certifications or journeyman status are a plus.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Word and Excel, etc.).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proven leadership capabilities and experience managing teams.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to visit job sites and work in field conditions as needed.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of commercial electrical projects, from initial planning through to final completion, ensuring client expectations and specifications.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain project budgets and schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and within financial parameters.
• Lead and coordinate project teams, including electricians, subcontractors, and other trade professionals. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining clear communication, addressing concerns, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and manage contracts, scope of work, change orders, and other documentation. Ensure compliance with contract terms, codes, and safety regulations.
• Identify potential risks and challenges early, and take proactive measures to address them. Solve problems efficiently to avoid delays and cost overruns.
• Ensure all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry safety standards.
• Prepare and present project status reports, including progress updates, budget analysis, and change order tracking. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
