Successful candidates will have significant field and office experience managing small to medium-sized environmental characterization and monitoring projects. A thorough understanding of soil and groundwater contaminant investigation, environmental drilling and sampling, and relevant regulations is essential.
Holding a CA Professional Geologist license or the ability to obtain one within 1 year of hiring is highly desirable.

Job Summary:

You will manage multiple projects involving subsurface investigations, soil and groundwater characterization, and water quality monitoring. The role requires managing several environmental projects simultaneously. Most work will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with occasional overnight travel for project-related activities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage small to medium-sized environmental projects related to soil/groundwater investigation and vapor intrusion.
• Train and mentor field staff to enhance team capabilities.
• Manage client relations, project deliverables, and communication effectively.
• Coordinate soil disposal activities.
• Assist clients with soil management needs.
• Assess site soil contaminant levels and provide comprehensive solutions for soil handling.
• Estimate project costs and write proposals for projects up to $100,000.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of environmental project management experience, including staff management and mentoring.
• Experience writing ESA Phase I and Phase II reports.
• B.A. degree in environmental science, geology, or related field.
• SWPPP QSD or QSP certification is desired.
• CA Professional Geologist or Engineer, or the ability to obtain within 12 months.
• AutoCAD experience is a plus.

Must reside in the Greater Bay Area, near San Francisco, Oakland, or East Bay.
Full-time position with approximately 50% remote work and some overnight travel within California.
