The company provides heavy civil construction services from the design and bid phase through project completion and owner acceptance.**About the Role**The Project Manager / Engineer oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of heavy civil construction projects, serving as a key liaison between office operations and field teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with safety and quality standards.**Key Responsibilities*** Manage projects from kickoff through completion, including planning, scheduling, and execution* Coordinate job strategies, materials, manpower, equipment, and subcontractors* Serve as a primary point of communication between office staff, field teams, subcontractors, and vendors* Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor progress, address issues, and support field operations* Prepare and maintain project documentation, including budgets, schedules, subcontracts, purchase orders, COIs, lien notices, and submittals* Maintain accurate and organized project records throughout the project lifecycle* Support field teams with RFIs, scope changes (extras), and material quantity tracking* Assist with project financials including subcontractor pay estimates, billings, and cost tracking* Collaborate with CAD and engineering teams on drawings and project implementation* Review geotechnical reports and soil borings to support planning and execution* Evaluate site and soil conditions for piling, drilling, and related work* Support field implementation of design drawings following project award**Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)* Experience in heavy civil construction (piling, drilling, marine, or bridge work preferred)* Strong understanding of construction methods and field operations* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and geotechnical reports* Proficiency in Microsoft Office* Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills**Work Environment & Physical Requirements*** Frequent travel to active construction sites* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions* Walking on uneven terrain and climbing as needed* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally**Schedule*** Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM* Occasional Saturdays based on project needs**Benefits*** Medical, dental, and vision insurance* 401(k) with company contribution or match* Paid time off and holidays* Professional development and training opportunities* Career growth and advancement opportunities**Equal Opportunity Employer***E.C.
