Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc. in Mississippi is seeking a seasoned field supervisor to oversee paving and road construction projects, manage crews, and ensure safety and quality on site.

The role requires strong leadership, cost awareness, and the ability to coordinate with subcontractors and government officials across multiple projects. • College degree is required, and 5+ years of experience in road construction.
• Prior supervisory experience is preferred, including the ability to motivate personnel to achieve results.
• Strong understanding of grades/drainage, mathematical skills and can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to effectively multitask.
• Effective, courteous, and professional communication skills required with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to work long hours and travel to assigned projects as needed.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to oversee and be available as needed for projects that perform work outside of standard daytime hours (night work).
• Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health & Safety standards are met by complying with legislation, company policies and promoting a safe work environment.
• Oversee, schedule, and direct all facets of paving and road construction projects.
• Responsible for profit and loss on all assigned projects.
• Establish and maintain communications with subcontractors, owners and government officials.
• Know the status and cost of the various operations on your projects.
• Supervise and approve paperwork flow, such as timesheets, daily reports, and tickets.
• Assist in progressing the work on the projects.
• Maintain communication with the shop concerning equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Develop a long-term plan for each project to optimize equipment use and coordinate with other projects company-wide.
• Maintain an up-to-date balance on all quantities for your projects.
• Manage administrative duties in a timely manner.

• Maintain an up-to-date balance on all quantities for your project s.
• Manage administrative duties in a timely manner.
