Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc., a CRH company, offers an internship program for enrolled undergraduates pursuing degrees related to construction. You will work under the management team to learn field operations, assist with documentation, and gain exposure to various departments within the asphalt industry.

The role requires physical work, PPE, and willingness to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program
• Desire to pursue a career in construction industry
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Experience with internet and MS Office tools
• Willing to wear PPE and work various shifts including nights/weekends
• Able to work in hot and cold conditions

Responsibilities

• Assist Management to understand departments within the asphalt industry
• Spend time in the field to learn daily work for project completion
• Perform physical labor as needed (shoveling, raking materials)
• Assist with project documentation requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work under the direction ofManagement team(Estimating, Plant, QC,and/or Project) to understand different departments within the asphalt industry.
• Spend time in the field to learn about the daily work necessary to go into completing a project.
• When necessary, must be able to perform physical laborer including shoveling and rakingmaterials.
• Assist with project documentation requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a degree relevant to the construction industry such as construction management, construction engineering, civil engineering or any engineering related program.
• A desire to pursue a career in the construction industry
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience and proficiency using the internet and Microsoft Office Suite of products
• Required to wear the proper PPE
• Able to work any shift including nights and weekends
• Working in various conditions including hot and cold
