Job description

Town Supply Company, a premier distributor of Commercial Doors, Frames & Architectural Hardware, is hiring a remote Project Manager.

OPPORTUNITY:

As a Project Manager you will manage the complete submittal process for assigned projects, including material ordering for the "openings" in our client's construction projects. Once ordered, the project is handled by our operations department for delivery to clients. Use your industry experience and detailed mentality to oversee that delivery of materials to our clients, general contractors and end users. Evaluate specifications and blueprints, prepare precise take-offs and proposals, develop detailed submittals, manage change orders and coordinate material procurement—all while maintaining continuous communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Reporting directly to the President, you will play a key role supporting our company’s mission of Integrity, Quality, Commitment, Reliability, and the Delivery of Outstanding Results.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Manage job costs, schedules, and execution of multiple projects ensuring project goals and client expectations are met.
  • Interpret architectural specifications and blueprints; prepare accurate take-offs, bids, and formal proposals.
  • Review proposals and participate in bid reviews/descope meetings.
  • convert a healthy percentage of quotes into orders and support overall company profitability.
  • Communicate with clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle - answer questions, negotiate terms, manage changes, and maintain strong relationships.
  • Develop and revise shop drawings and submittals to ensure documentation stays updated with project changes.
  • Manage order entry within our software systems and coordinate with the Operations Manager for scheduling, shop work, and deliveries.
  • Ensure accurate contract oversight, change order management, and invoicing accuracy; work with accounting teams to resolve invoicing or payment issues.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients, vendors, and coworkers.
SUCCESS FACTORS:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in the commercial door and hardware industry.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret specifications, blueprints, and industry codes.
  • Familiarity with Submittal software Aveware or something similar is preferred.
  • Experience using order entry software Navision and similar contract ERP software system is helpful.
  • In-depth product knowledge and understanding of how hardware components interact and function is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Life Safety Codes, ADA requirements and any other code affecting our industry.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP and vendor ordering software.
  • Strong commitment to delivering high-quality results with a dedicated and solution-driven mindset.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Town Supply will reward your project management talents with a competitive compensation package of $85K - $100K+ depending on experience, plus bonus potential based on company and individual performance. Your comprehensive benefits package includes 100% employee medical coverage, 401(k) including 3% employer contribution, paid time off, and paid holidays.
