Job summary

MES is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Manager to lead complex utility projects from initiation through closeout in Detroit. This role will partner with cross-functional teams, clients, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure scope, schedule, and budget are met or exceeded.

The position requires working onsite in Detroit three days a week, with the remaining days eligible for remote work. A PMP or equivalent certification is preferred, with strong proficiency in MS Project,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in utility projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or General Business.
• PMP certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of project management: planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure project execution.
• Track and manage project budgets, schedules, and risks.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
• Prepare status reports, forecasts, and presentations for clients and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and industry standards.
• Mentor and support project team members including coordinators and field staff.
