Carex is partnering with a electronic manufacturing industry partner to find an experienced Project Managerto support data and technology initiatives through a combination of program coordination, project management, and Jira administration. This role will be responsible for managing smaller-scale projects, coordinating activities across larger data programs, and driving visibility, accountability, and execution across cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in project management, Agile methodologies, and stakeholder communication, along with hands‑on experience managing Jira workflows, boards, and reporting. A background in data, analytics, or data-related technology initiatives is a plus.

Location: Menasha, WI (hybrid)

Duration: Contract-to-hire

What You'll Do

Program & Project Management

• Coordinate activities, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple data and technology initiatives to support broader program objectives.

• Independently manage small to medium-sized projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, resources, and business objectives.

• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, status reports, risk logs, and other project documentation using established project management methodologies.

• Partner with technical teams, business stakeholders, and project sponsors to identify resource needs, establish priorities, and manage competing demands.

• Track project progress, proactively identify risks and roadblocks, and drive timely resolution of issues and dependencies.

• Facilitate project meetings, document decisions and action items, and ensure accountability for follow-through.

• Support program-level reporting by consolidating project updates, tracking key milestones, and communicating overall progress to leadership.

Jira Administration & Process Optimization

• Serve as a key resource for Jira administration, including managing projects, boards, workflows, dashboards, filters, and reporting.

• Configure and maintain Jira to support effective project tracking, backlog management, sprint planning, and team collaboration.

• Partner with project teams to establish consistent Jira practices, improve data quality, and ensure accurate tracking of work and deliverables.

• Develop dashboards and reports that provide visibility into project status, team capacity, priorities, and delivery performance.

• Identify opportunities to streamline Jira processes, improve workflow efficiency, and support consistent adoption across teams.

• Provide guidance and support to Jira users, helping teams maximize the platform's project management capabilities.

Data & Technology Initiative Support

• Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, IT, and business teams to coordinate project activities and ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.

• Support planning and execution of data-related initiatives, which may include data integration, reporting, analytics, data quality, or platform enhancements.

• Help translate business objectives into actionable project tasks, milestones, and deliverables.

• Track cross-functional dependencies and facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Support documentation of business requirements, technical dependencies, and project outcomes to ensure alignment throughout execution.

Agile Delivery & Continuous Improvement

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Help teams apply Agile principles and practices while adapting delivery approaches to project and business needs.

• Proactively remove impediments, resolve competing priorities, and promote collaboration across teams.

• Monitor team progress, identify opportunities for process improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Provide clear, concise communication regarding project status, risks, challenges, and accomplishments to stakeholders and leadership.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• 5+ years of experience in project management, program coordination, or related technology delivery roles.

• Experience independently managing smaller projects while coordinating activities and dependencies across larger programs or initiatives.

• Hands‑on experience with Jira administration, including configuring and maintaining boards, workflows, dashboards, filters, and reporting.

• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, with experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and supporting cross‑functional teams.

• Demonstrated ability to develop project plans, track milestones, manage risks, and coordinate resources across multiple concurrent initiatives.

• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize competing demands.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.

• Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving project challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting data‑focused projects or programs involving data engineering, business intelligence, analytics, data integration, or data platforms.

• Familiarity with data concepts, data pipelines, data governance, or data quality initiatives.

• Experience working with data and analytics teams to coordinate technical deliverables and business requirements.

• Experience developing Jira dashboards and reporting to support program‑level visibility and performance tracking.

• PMP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or other relevant project management or Agile certification.
