Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle data center migration projects including planning, execution, and closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and migration runbooks.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, network, security and application teams.
• Manage rack decommissioning, server migration, and asset tracking.
• Oversee physical and logical migration activities (server relocation, storage, network connectivity).
• Identify dependencies, risks and mitigation strategies.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure change management and communication plans are followed.
• Validate network connectivity, firewall rules, and port configurations during migration.
• Ensure proper documentation of legacy systems and migration activities.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and operational standards.
• Coordinate with vendors, data center providers, and on-site teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure project management
• Proven experience managing data center migration or consolidation projects
• Strong understanding of:
  • Data center infrastructure (servers, storage, networking)
  • Rack/stack, cabling, and hardware lifecycle
  • Network connectivity, firewalls, and ports
• Experience with change management processes
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Familiarity with project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud migrations (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Certifications such as:
  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • ITIL
• Experience in automation and infrastructure modernization projects
• Knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
