Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation in Pittsburgh (Cheswick) seeks a Project Manager to lead customer-delivered projects, manage schedules and budgets, and serve as the primary contact for customers. This role interacts with engineering, planning, quality assurance, contracts and finance to address project actions.

Responsibilities include leading project meetings, managing cost and risk, and ensuring customer requirements are met. DoD clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred, Business Administration, or equivalent.
• Five 5+ years of related experience in Project management or project leadership experience
• Experience with Microsoft Project and ERP Systems
• Preferred Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
• Excellent organization, communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate and control Project Work Plan execution to achieve project technical, cost and schedule objectives.
• Efficiently and effectively work towards goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple constraints.
• Lead the project team and regular project meetings to monitor and drive progress toward project objectives.
• Maintain effective customer communications, ensuring that all customer requirements and expectations are addressed effectively.
• Address and resolve project issues pertaining to project work scope, technical requirements, quality, schedule, resource assignments, cost customer interface and other project related activities.
• Communicate project progress, issues, and/or resolution options to project team members’ customers and EMD management.
• Review and control project cost, including the coordination and certification of Estimate at Complete dates.
• Develop and monitor the Project Risk Management Plan as part of project planning and execution.
• Interact with Sourcing and suppliers to plan for and secure the materials needed for the project and future production.
