Job summary

Ilocatum in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Project Manager (Construction Structural Steel Detailing) to lead complex steel projects from planning to delivery in a hybrid work setting. The role commands $80,000–$120,000 annually and requires senior experience in project management and detailing.

You will manage budgets, client relationships, and project teams while coordinating with production and finance to ensure successful delivery and invoicing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project management experience.
• 5+ years in lead drafting/detailing roles (Project Coordinator, Lead Modeler, or Checker).
• Proven track record managing budgets, client relationships, and project teams.
• Civil/structural drafting or detailing certificate or diploma.
• Training in 3D modeling software (Tekla, AutoCAD, Navisworks).
• Proficiency in Primavera or Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Set a clear project scope and lead your team with defined expectations.
• Deliver projects on schedule, on budget, and to high quality standards.
• Track schedule and costs, spotting risks before they become problems.
• Partner with production to allocate hours and resources.
• Identify and submit change orders on time
• Work with Finance so invoices go out and get paid on time
• Resolve scope, cost, and schedule issues while keeping clients confident
• Support production teams across every phase of the project

Must-Haves

• 5+ years of construction project management experience
• 5+ years in lead drafting/detailing roles (Project Coordinator, Lead Modeler, or Checker)
• Proven track record managing budgets, client relationships, and project teams
• Certificate or diploma in civil or structural steel drafting/detailing, engineering, or similar
• Training in 3D modeling software such as Tekla, AutoCAD, or Navisworks
• Primavera or Microsoft Project proficiency

Strong Advantage

• Steel detailing experience
• Familiarity with ProSteel, StruCAD, Revit, or AutoPLANT
