Job summary

ARCO/Murray in Nashville is seeking a Project Manager to lead ground-up and renovation construction across commercial, light industrial, multi-family, hospitality, and entertainment sectors. You will oversee preconstruction through closeout, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with clients, design teams, and subcontractors to safeguard scope and safety.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering or related field.
  • 2-5 years' of construction management or engineering design experience.
  • Experience leading ground-up commercial, light industrial, multi-family, hospitality, or entertainment construction projects preferred.
  • Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget.
  • Participate in the proposal meeting with clients to review the scope of work, discuss cost-saving approaches, and negotiate contracts & fees.
  • Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors.
  • Identify opportunities to procure materials or equipment directly when advantageous to budget or schedule.
  • Work with Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work, project schedule, and site logistics plan.
  • Lead preconstruction planning meetings with designers, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve constructability and manpower issues.
  • Organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.
  • Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports.
  • Find ways to make the construction process engaging for clients, subcontractors, and vendors without compromising quality or safety.

A Day in the Life:
  • Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout

  • Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors
  • Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule
  • Work with Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan
  • Lead preconstruction planning meetings with all designers, subcontractors and vendors aimed at solving potential constructability, sequencing, and/or manpower issues
  • Organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.
  • Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports

Necessary Qualifications:
  • BS in Engineering or related field
  • 2-5 years' of construction management or engineering design experience
  • Previous experience leading ground up commercial, light industrial, multi-family, hospitality, or entertainment construction projects is preferred
  • Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project
