Job summary

ARCO/Murray in Nashville is seeking a motivated Project Manager to lead construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will partner with clients and design teams to refine concepts, budgets, and schedules.

You will oversee subcontractor buyout, manage scopes of work, and strive to deliver safe, high-quality builds across entertainment, multi-family, and hospitality projects. We offer bonuses, ESOP, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and generous time-off as part of our commitment

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• 2-5 years of construction management or engineering design experience.
• Experience leading ground-up commercial, light industrial, multi-family, hospitality, or entertainment projects preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects from preconstruction through project closeout.
• Work with clients and design teams to develop preliminary concepts, budgets, and schedules.
• Participate in proposals to review scope, reduce costs, and negotiate contracts & fees.
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout for trades and vendors.
• Identify opportunities to procure materials or equipment to optimize budget and schedule.
• Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work, schedules, and site logistics with the project team.
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings to solve constructability and manpower issues.
• Organize and manage multiple activities to achieve results.
• Track project performance vs budget and prepare pay applications & billing reports.

ARCO/Murray is currently looking for a highly motivated Project Manager who is passionate about the construction process to join our team in our Nashville office. A Day In The Life

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout
• Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget
• Participate in the proposal meeting with clients to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors
• Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule
• Work with Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings with all designers, subcontractors and vendors aimed at solving potential constructability, sequencing, and/or manpower issues
• Organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.
• Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports
• Most importantly…find a way to make the construction process fun for your clients, subcontractors, and vendors without sacrificing on quality or safety!

Necessary Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field
• 2-5 years' of construction management or engineering design experience
• Previous experience leading ground up commercial, light industrial, multi-family, hospitality, or entertainment construction projects is preferred
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project
