Job summary

ARCO/Murray National Construction in Dallas is seeking a driven Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle of design/build projects. You will coordinate managerial and administrative tasks from preconstruction through closeout, while maintaining budget and client satisfaction.

You will collaborate with clients and the design team to shape concepts, budgets, and scopes, participate in contract negotiations, and oversee subcontractor buyouts to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with high safety

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering or related field required.
  • 1–8 years of construction management or engineering experience required.
  • Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of the project from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget.
  • Participate in proposal meetings with clients to review scope, reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees.
  • Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors.
  • Identify opportunities to procure materials or equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule.
  • Collaborate with the Project Superintendent on subcontractor scopes, schedules, and site logistics.
  • Lead preconstruction planning meetings with designers, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve constructability and sequencing issues.
  • Lead on-site progress review meetings to address challenges with the client and team.
  • Track project performance vs budget and prepare pay applications and progress billing reports.
  • Maintain a focus on safety, quality, and ensuring a positive experience for clients and partners.

A Day in the Life:
  • Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout
  • Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget
  • Participate in the proposal meeting with clients to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees
  • Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors
  • Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule
  • Work with Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan
  • Lead preconstruction planning meetings with all designers, subcontractors and vendors aimed at solving potential constructability, sequencing, and/or manpower issues
  • Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site once construction begins to review progress and address challenges directly with client
  • Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports

Necessary Qualifications:
  • BS in Engineering or related field
  • 1-8 years of construction management or engineering experience
