Job summary

Hopkins | Lacy, the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing division of Branch, seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee project direction, coordination with owners, subcontractors, and staff, and delivery of projects on time and within budget. This role emphasizes safe, high-quality outcomes and active financial oversight.

The PM will mentor staff, manage contracts, and help develop business opportunities while coordinating resources across the project team.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of industry project management experience on projects over $2M+.
  • Experience using Primavera P6 scheduling software, MS Office, financial software and/or project management software.
  • PM experience running multiple projects at one time.
  • Experience managing multiple site projects.
  • Proven track record of managing project teams to successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing, training, and mentoring the project staff.
  • Assist and advise on business functions including workforce management, contracting strategies, and financial management.
  • May support preconstruction activities.
  • Assist in developing new business opportunities relative to a client or group of clients and fosters positive owner relationships.
  • Authority on contract between the owner, general contractor, and Hopkins | Lacy to ensure effective project administration.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the project’s contract management, planning, scheduling, budget, quality, safety, and employee development.
  • Responsible for profit margins and fully manages all financial aspects of assigned construction project(s).
  • Collaboratively aid in the timely drafting and execution of subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Review and approve monthly subcontractor pay requisitions.
  • Responsible for schedule development and updates in conjunction with the project staff.
  • Responsible for preparation of monthly project financial projections and reports.
  • Prepare and review payment requisitions, communicates changes, and reports projects financial status monthly.
  • Develop an effective plan and schedule in conjunction with the Superintendent for constructing the project and helps determine the means and methods necessary to meet project goals.
  • Adhere to the terms of the contract, assures quality, minimizes costs, and promotes safety.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications/Education:

  • Associatesdegreein engineering, construction management, or related field
  • 5or more yearsofindustryProject Management experience (Project Engineer experience does not count) inprojectsover $2M+
  • Experience using P6 scheduling software, MS Office,Financial software and/ or Project Management software
  • Must have PM experience running multiple projects at one time
  • Hasmanagedmultiple site projects
  • Proven experience managing project teams to successful outcomes

Preferred Qualifications/Education:

  • Bachelor’sDegree in Engineering/Constructionor related field
  • Significant experienceas a tradesperson
Compensation

Salary Min: $82,141.50

Salary Max: $140,835.00

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.

This position requires frequent field visits, 50% field and 50% office or as necessary.

Supervisory Responsibility

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will also work on the construction job site.The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions atconstructionjobsites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The employee isfrequentlyexposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanicalpartsand vibration.
