Job summary

gpac is seeking an experienced Project Manager for an Albuquerque, NM-based general contractor. The role oversees projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and coordinated teamwork among clients, subcontractors, and field staff.

The candidate will manage budgets, schedules, RFIs/Submittals/COs, and procurement, while maintaining rigorous reporting and strong client relationships for successful project execution.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of construction experience with a General Contractor.
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multiple scopes of work.
  • Ability to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage construction projects from award through completion and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and cost controls.
  • Coordinate closely with Superintendents, subcontractors, owners, architects, and engineers.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, purchase orders, and pay applications.
  • Oversee subcontractor procurement, buyout, and scope coordination.
  • Monitor project costs, schedule, quality, and overall performance.
  • Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication with all project stakeholders.
  • Identify project challenges early and develop practical solutions.
  • Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
  • Maintain accurate project reporting and documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships.
  • Partner with field leadership to ensure successful project execution.

This company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects while maintaining a collaborative, hands‑on approach with clients, subcontractors, and field teams. The Project Manager will oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout and will be responsible for keeping work on schedule, on budget, and moving efficiently.

Responsibilities
