Job summary

Shorr Packaging Corp. is seeking a Project Manager Co-Pack/Kitting to lead end-to-end projects from business case through implementation and sustainment. You will ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while optimizing pricing, cost-to-serve, and margins.

The role requires 3+ years of PM leadership, use of PM tools, and strong Excel analytics. Collaboration across functions, change leadership, and experience with packaging and kitting programs are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience leading project management teams (minimum 3+ years).
  • Proven ability to create business cases with objectives, scope, resources, risks and benefits.
  • PM knowledge: PMBOK, DMAIC, PM2, Waterfall, Agile, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve process improvement through structured project management.
  • Develop business cases for new initiatives and program launches with clear objectives and benefits.
  • Identify resources and time commitments to meet timelines and milestones.
  • Track and manage project tasks and assess risks to keep projects on track and budget.
  • Manage onboarding and execution of new kitting/co-pack programs including go-live support.
  • Translate customer specifications into operational deliverables and ensure compliance and readiness.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The Project Manager Co-Pack/Kitting leads projects from business case and scope definition through implementation, pricing, and sustainment. This role also ensures programs and process changes are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification, and that the commercial model (pricing, cost-to-serve, and margin) reflects operational realities and drives measurable business results. Other responsibilities include:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve process improvement through structured project management.
  • Develop business cases for new initiatives and program launches, clearly defining objectives, scope, resources, risks, and expected benefits (labor, cost/unit, service, quality, margin).
  • Identify project resources and time commitments to meet project timeline and milestone dates
  • Track and manage project tasks and assess risks and risk avoidance solutions to keep project on track and on-budget
  • Achieve project deliverables (time, cost and objectives) and productivity results through improvement sustainment
  • Manage onboarding and execution of new kitting/co-pack programs including requirements intake, operational design, readiness planning, and go-live support.
  • Translate customer and internal specifications into operational deliverables, including: pack-out configuration and BOM accuracy, labeling and compliance requirements, quality checkpoints and acceptance criteria, SOP/work instruction development and training, coordinate launch readiness across staffing, materials, equipment, layout, and systems transactions to ensure stable ramp-up.
  • Positively lead teams and organizations through change. Communicate effectively to teams and leadership to ensure support for resources and buy-in for change
  • Navigate corporate culture / developing positive working relationships with stakeholders and project team(s)
  • Ability to be placed in demanding environments and drive towards objectives
  • Comfortable leading change in areas outside of subject matter expertise
  • Ability to understand and lead technical productivity initiatives through various transactional automation methods.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge and use of project management tools, such as Clarizen or Microsoft Project
  • Minimum 3+ years of leading project management teams.
  • Demonstrated business impact utilizing a project management framework: PMBOK, DMAIC, PM2, Waterfall, Agile, Etc.
  • Experience with custom development project implementations.
  • Proficiency using Excel and strong analytical skills
  • Effective communication, presentation and conflict management skills
  • Experience participating in or leading value streams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience utilizing Sharepoint and MS Planner to manage projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Quality, or Operations
  • PMP certification
Compensation

The base pay range for this role is $85,000 - $105,000 per year.
