Job summary

Tri-State General Contractors is seeking an experienced construction estimator and project manager to lead commercial projects in the Denver area. The role covers preconstruction through closeout, with emphasis on schedule adherence, cost control, and quality workmanship.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in estimating or related roles, experience on $5M+ projects, and strong knowledge of drawings, specs, and contracts. Proficiency with CM software and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in construction estimating or a related commercial construction role.
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects with budgets of $5 million or greater.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, project schedules, and construction practices.
  • Experience managing project budgets, cost controls, change orders, pay applications, and subcontractor administration.
  • Proficiency with construction management software, estimating tools, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, work plans, and resource allocation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Oversee project financials, including budgets, cost tracking, pay applications, change orders, cash flow, and subcontractor invoices.
  • Review project documents, contracts, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance and identify potential risks or issues.
  • Lead project communication with owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address schedule, budget, quality, and operational challenges.
  • Manage subcontractor buyouts, procurement activities, contract administration, and project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards, project requirements, and regulatory obligations.
  • Oversee project closeout activities, including punch lists, warranties, final documentation, and client turnover.
