Job Title: Project Manager – Cloud Migration
Location: Remote (Arizona-based candidates preferred)
Job Type: 4-6 month contract (possible contract to hire)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
Project Manager to lead a high-impact cloud migration project, transitioning our infrastructure from
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to
Microsoft Azure. This is a critical role requiring strong leadership, deep technical understanding of cloud platforms, and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the end-to-end cloud migration project from GCP to Azure.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including infrastructure, security, development, and operations.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide status updates and escalate issues as needed.
- Ensure compliance with security and governance standards throughout the migration process.
- Conduct post-migration reviews and ensure full operational transition.
Required Skills & Experience- Proven experience managing cloud migration projects, especially involving GCP and Azure.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure, and security principles.
- Exceptional project management skills, including Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.
- Ability to manage complex technical projects with multiple dependencies.
Preferred Qualifications- Certifications in Azure (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect).
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
- Strong understanding of cost optimization strategies in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with change management and user adoption during cloud transitions.
Work Environment- Fully remote; candidates preferred to be based in Arizona
