Join to apply for the Senior Project Manager (Southwest Region) Remote role at Tetra Tech

We are adding a Senior Project Manager in the Southwest Region to support our growing energy practice, focusing on siting, permitting, and engineering for energy projects. Tetra Tech offers extensive technical expertise and a strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing energy projects, including proposal development, budgeting, and client satisfaction.
  2. Leading project teams and mentoring junior staff.
  3. Overseeing siting, permitting, environmental surveys, agency coordination, and public outreach.
  4. Preparing permit applications and resource studies.
  5. Representing clients before regulatory agencies and in public meetings.
  6. Interfacing with agencies such as BLM, USBR, USACE, USFWS, USFS, and dealing with NEPA planning.
  7. Handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and working independently within a team.
  8. Researching and interpreting regulations to assess permitting feasibility.
  9. Possessing experience in electrical transmission siting and Arizona permitting processes.

Qualifications:

  1. B.S. or M.S. in Environmental Planning, Science, Engineering, or related field.
  2. 15+ years of consulting experience with project and team management.
  3. Experience with Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, or Utah resources and regulations, especially in Arizona.
  4. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  6. Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Preferred: Experience in electrical transmission permitting and Arizona-specific processes.
