Job Overview Summary

The Project Manager of Advarra Consulting has the responsibility to serve as a client liaison and provide consultancy services as an individual or as part of a larger Consulting Team for Advarra Consulting Client Projects.

The Project Manager applies working knowledge and expertise in project management and draws on familiarity with clinical research, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and related fields to effectively manage Client services and project deliverables.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Setting and managing client expectations, developing a detailed project plan, defining the scope of the project, understanding project risks, and assigning team members to specific tasks.
  • Leading a team to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Providing guidance, training, or coaching to experts to ensure the success of Advarra Consulting projects.
  • Ensuring tasks are completed within specified timelines and effectively communicating with the client and all project team members to resolve issues and re-establish timelines.
  • Forecasting project timelines for budgetary purposes.
  • Ensuring projects stay within the allocated budget and communicating with appropriate individuals to ensure contractual arrangements are made.
  • Maintaining open lines of communication with the client in both written and oral forms.
  • Escalating issues with clients or project deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring project management software or other technology utilized by Advarra Consulting is up to date and accurate.
  • Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts or Advarra Consulting Leadership to revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure talent is identified and assigned appropriately, communicating with experts, and ensuring timely receipt of deliverables.
  • Demonstrating strong planning skills and having a working knowledge of MS Project or a similar planning tool.
  • Building relationships with and serving as a point of contact with clients.
  • Supporting the evaluation of processes and ongoing procedural compliance within the project management team and influencing process improvement initiatives.
  • Representing Advarra Consulting on Business Development /Sales calls, as needed.
  • Advising or developing departmental Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and other tools to support Client consulting services.
  • Working with the Leadership team to resolve staffing issues for complex engagements.
  • Sending specification notices to consultants for GxP audits, reviewing and routing deliverables for quality assurance, and tracking Client and/or project-related information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Location

This role is open to candidates working remotely in the United States.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, from an accredited college or university required.
  • Preferred: PMP certification.
  • 2+ years of previous Project Management experience is required.

  • Demonstrated skill in adaptability, accountability, and creativity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong project management and team building skills.
  • Ability to analyze data to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to work independently; planning, organizing, scheduling, and completing work within deadlines.
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities, problem-solve, and think strategically to ensure client deliverables.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time at a stationary workstation.
  • Regularly carry, raise, and lower objects of up to 10 Lbs.
  • Learn and comprehend basic instructions.
  • Focus and attention to tasks and responsibilities.
  • Verbal communication; listening and understanding, responding, and speaking.

Pay Transparency Statement

The base salary range for this role is $72,400 - $123,100. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience and may vary from the amounts listed above. This position may also be eligible for a variable bonus in addition to base salary as well as health coverage, paid holidays, and other benefits.
