Byrne & Jones Construction in Missouri is seeking a Civil Engineer with 5+ years of site design experience to lead grading, drainage, and stormwater projects.

You will review designs, mentor staff, coordinate with estimators and project managers, and ensure compliance with AHJs and USACE standards. PE preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of civil site design and project coordination experience.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, and stormwater design.

Responsabilités

• Lead, design, and review civil designs (grading, drainage, stormwater, turf-base systems).
• Collaborate with estimating, project management, and sales teams, attending client hand-off meetings and providing ongoing project support.
• Provide QA/QC for work produced by Civil Designers and Project Engineers.
• Ensure designs meet municipal, state, and agency standards (AHJs, MODNR, USACE, etc.).
• Mentor, train, and support engineering staff.
• Prepare and review permit submittals and coordinate approvals.
• Attend client and municipal meetings
• Help manage workloads and support smooth handoff to construction

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)

• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D
• Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, and stormwater design
• Sports/parks experience and Midwest standards knowledge are a plus
