Kwest Project Manager Position Description

Position: Project Manager

Report to: Senior Project Manager of Federal/Public Sector

Job Description Overview: The Project Manager is responsible for estimating and managing multiple projects in the Federal/Public sector, ensuring project success, profitability, safety, quality, and customer service. They will report to the Senior Project Manager of the federal and public sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in bid preparation, working with senior project managers on constructability issues.
  • Prepare quantity take-offs for proposals.
  • Solicit material and subcontractor pricing for project bids.
  • Coordinate with Field Operations and Equipment Department to manage resources.
  • Represent the company professionally in meetings and at project sites.
  • Travel to project sites and offices as needed for meetings and project management.
  • Perform duties aligned with the company mission and philosophy, maintaining positive relationships.
  • Provide leadership and support during project estimates, planning, and execution.
  • Manage contract documents from award to close-out, including scheduling meetings, maintaining plans, and overseeing project documentation.
  • Review and update cost reports and prepare monthly ECAC reports.
  • Travel as required for project management and estimating tasks.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of heavy civil/site construction project management experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Self-starter with collaborative spirit, relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC card.
  • Work approximately 50-55 hours/week.

Authority:

  • Contact suppliers/subcontractors for quotes.
  • Request reports from project team members.
  • Represent the company during projects under the supervision of the Director of Project Management.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and site visits.
  • Exposure to construction site hazards, dust, noise, weather conditions.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive motions.
  • Compliance with safety requirements, including PPE and OSHA standards.
