Job summary

Hydro Aluminium Metal is seeking a Project Manager to lead capital and process improvement projects across all phases, from feasibility to execution and completion through the aluminum value chain. You will work closely with plant operations, engineering, procurement and external contractors to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.

Applicants should have an undergraduate technical degree and at least five years of hands-on project experience in manufacturing or process operations,

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline with 5 years of hands-on project experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or process operations is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of project management (scope, schedule, budget, risk, procurement).

Responsibilities

• Define project tasks, resource requirements and staffing plans.
• Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and risk registers.
• Prepare and maintain documentation including scopes of work, technical specs, RFQs/RFPs, contracts, and change orders.
• Coordinate equipment selection, procurement and vendor management with stakeholders.
• Track and report progress, risks, issues and mitigation plans to leadership.
• Manage onsite execution, including coordination of contractors and equipment delivery.
• Ensure site readiness, equipment staging, delivery scheduling and installation sequencing.
• Conduct close-out activities, punch-lists, documentation handover and lessons learned.
• Support knowledge sharing and standardization of best practices across plants/sites.
• Maintain a strong focus on health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Ensure compatibility with best-practice PM standards and regulatory/technical requirements.
