Job summary

The Freeman Company is seeking a Project Manager – Branch Operations to lead regional events and operations projects with a strong focus on cross-functional collaboration and AV production support.

You will coordinate planning, scheduling, and execution with multiple teams, suppliers, and show-site staff while maintaining safety and process standards. Hybrid schedule in Orlando, FL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required.
• Minimum 3 years’ professional industry experience
• Minimum 2 years’ experience managing projects
• Working knowledge of audio visual systems and live event production
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills and strategic thinking in a matrix organization
• Ability to manage difficult customer situations effectively and timely
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word)
• Understanding of OSHA requirements

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and implementation of operational activities in the region to support planning and design teams.
• Resolve production schedule conflicts between internal departments and external parties.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, facilities and labor providers.
• Attend pre-con meetings and assist with site surveys as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date operational documentation for events in the region.
• Ensure departments have accurate information on operational factors.
• Coordinate plans with show site execution to maximize profitability and resources.
• Adhere to safety guidelines at show sites.
• Support sales teams in understanding facility guidelines.
• Act as liaison to teams to ensure cross-functional collaboration.
• Measure project performance to identify improvement opportunities.

Summary

The Project Manager – Branch Operations assists and supports the Regional - General Manager with the planning and execution of assigned projects within a geographic region. This position will work closely with multiple operations and sales departments ensuring relevant operational information is shared and acted upon. The Project Manager – Branch Operations will also work on various ad-hoc projects pertaining to the branch to drive efficiencies and change.

This position will support our AV Production team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week based out of Orlando, FL.

• Participate in the planning and implementation of operational activities in the region providing relevant andup to date information to planning and design teams to ensure optimal execution of events
• Review and help resolve any production schedule conflicts between internal departments and outsideparties
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, facilities, and contingent/casual labor providers
• Attend pre-con meetings and assist with site surveys as needed to ensure proper planning
• Reviews and maintains all documentation of relevant operational information needed to produce events inthe region
• Ensures functional departments (e.g. Implementation, Labor, Production Design) have accurate and mostrecent information regarding operational factors in the region
• Coordinate operational plans and changes with show site execution team to maximize profitability and bestuse of resources
• Ensures that company safety guidelines are followed and implemented at show site
• Act as liaison to sales team to support their understanding of operational guidelines of facilities in the region
• Serves as point of contact for teams when multiple departments are involved to ensure team is working in synergy
• Ensures Freeman standards are met by performing quality control and necessary escalations throughoutthe development of projects in the region
• Measure project performance to identify areas of improvement

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required
• Minimum 3 years’ professional industry experience
• Minimum 2 years’ experience managing projects
• Working knowledge of audio visual systems and live event production
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills and strategic thinking with the ability to flourish in a matrixorganization
• Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations successfully and timely
• Understanding of business implications of decisions; working knowledge of competition
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
