Job summary

The Freeman Company is seeking a Manager of Business Operations to oversee activities in a geographic region, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and service delivery in line with Freeman standards. This role supports the AV Production team and requires 2–3 days on-site in Las Vegas, NV, with a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities include coordinating pre-, on-, and post-production activities, maintaining budgets, and acting as a Freeman representative to external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 7+ years in event industry required.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience.
• 3+ years of event industry experience.
• Experience with company policies and procedures including operating procedures.
• Experience with OSHA requirements.
• Experience with employment law policies (Title VII, ACA, ADA, FMLA, etc.).
• Sales experience and support are a plus.

• Act as Freeman representative to facilities, union leadership, vendors, and Freeman Expo branch.
• Track production activities and develop progress reports to meet milestones and resources.

Summary

The Manager – Business Operations is responsible for the oversight of activities within an assigned geographic region to optimum efficiency, profitability, and service delivery consistent with Freeman standards of excellence. This position is responsible for the success of multiple business functions in support of the delivery of products and services.

This position will support our AV Production team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be located in Las Vegas, NV.

• Works closely with clients, sales staff, operations, cross-functional leaders, and project managers to develop event plans including coordinating of pre-production, onsite, and post-production activities in line with event budget
• Acts as Freeman representative in the region to relevant stakeholders such as facilities, union leadership, vendors, and Freeman Expo branch
• Tracks production activities in the region to ensure planning milestones and optimum resource allocations goals are being met. Develop and deliver progress reports as needed
• Enforces company policies and procedures to ensure that they are followed
• Works with functional heads to see that hiring, staffing, discipline, and training are accomplished
• Oversees and executes production budget/bid reviews and assists with final invoice reviews as needed
• Visits and audits events in the region to ensure production, safety, and customer service standards are being met
• Promotes a positive attitude and teamwork between all personnel and stakeholders
• Reviews and updates as needed the facility profiles for assigned facilities in the region
• Ensures that all relevant operational and execution information for the region is accurate and up to date
• Assists with local venue site surveys as needed to ensure proper planning of events
• Reviews operational procedures and makes recommendations for improvements to enhance operational efficiencies, service delivery, and safety protocols

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with a minimum of (7) seven years of experience is required
• Minimum two (2) years leadership experience
• Minimum of (3) three years of event industry experience
• Proven experience working with company policies and procedures including operating procedures
• Proven experience working with OSHA requirements
• Proven experience working with employment law policies and procedures (Title VII, ACA, ADA, FMLA, etc.)
• Experience with sales; selling practices and support
