Job summary

Mitrelli Group in Angola is seeking a Project Lead to oversee the construction of a large-scale university campus from mobilisation to handover. This senior site-based role requires proven experience delivering complex vertical building projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and consultants to meet scope, schedule, budget and quality standards.

The successful candidate will hold a Civil Engineering degree, be willing to relocate, and fluent in Portuguese and English,

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
• 10+ years of experience managing large-scale building construction projects.
• Experience with REVIT, CAD drawings and BIM.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of a major university construction project from mobilisation through commissioning and handover.
• Develop, monitor and control the project execution strategy, schedule and budget.
• Coordinate civil, structural, architectural, MEP and finishing works.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, consultants and supervision teams to ensure compliance with contractual, technical and quality requirements.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to Mitrelli's standards of excellence.
• Identify project risks, propose mitigation measures and escalate critical issues when required.
• Manage project reporting, financial performance, change orders, procurement coordination and contractual matters.
• Coordinate with PMO, Procurement, Engineering, Bidding and Contract Management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and maintain productive relationships with authorities and external stakeholders.
• Lead and motivate multidisciplinary project teams, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
